Waiver & Permissions
To participate in MC Youth Ski Club programs and events, all families must review and agree to the waiver and permissions outlined below. This includes a release of liability, consent for emergency care and transportation, and our media/photo release policy.
By completing your registration and checking the appropriate boxes on the form, you confirm that you’ve read and accepted the terms of this agreement. This waiver applies to all club activities during the current season, including overnight trips, day trips, off-season events, and any other programs sponsored or organized by the club.
Release of Liability & Assumption of Risk for All Club Activities
Participation in MC Youth Ski Club activities, including but not limited to skiing, snowboarding, hiking, biking, transportation, off-season recreational events, instructional programs, and any other club-sponsored activities, involves inherent risks that may result in property damage, personal injury, serious bodily harm, or death.
By registering a participant for any MC Youth Ski Club program or event, you (the parent/legal guardian and/or participant) expressly acknowledge and agree to the following terms:
-
You fully understand and voluntarily accept all risks associated with participation in club activities, whether on snow or off, and whether conducted during or outside of the official ski season. These risks include but are not limited to: variable terrain and weather conditions, physical exertion, travel in vehicles operated by independent third-party providers contracted by the club, use of recreational equipment, outdoor group activities, and the unpredictable actions of other participants or the general public.
-
You waive, release, and discharge MC Youth Ski Club, Ilya Fridman (Club Organizer), and all associated directors, officers, volunteers, chaperones, employees, contractors, and affiliated service providers including transportation companies and resort operators from any and all claims, liabilities, or causes of action arising out of any injury, loss, illness, damage, or death resulting from participation in any club activity, whether caused by ordinary negligence or otherwise.
-
This release includes any and all activities organized by the club, whether occurring at a ski resort, on public or private property, or in connection with off-site excursions or events, such as celebrations, local outings, off-season trips, or volunteer opportunities.
-
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless all released parties, including Ilya Fridman, against any claims brought by or on behalf of the participant or any third party, including legal fees and associated costs.
-
You understand and agree that this release extends to all claims of every kind or nature whatsoever, foreseen or unforeseen, known or unknown, and that this release shall remain in effect unless and until revoked in writing.
By submitting your registration, you confirm that you have read, understood, and voluntarily agreed to the terms of this Release of Liability & Assumption of Risk.
Transportation & Emergency Authorization
By registering for MC Youth Ski Club programs, you authorize the club to arrange transportation for your child to and from club events using charter buses, vans, or other motor vehicles operated by independent third-party transportation providers contracted by the club.
You understand that while every effort is made to ensure safe and professional travel, the club and its representatives are not responsible for delays, disruptions, or incidents that may occur in connection with such travel.
In the event of illness, injury, or any situation requiring medical attention while participating in club activities, you authorize MC Youth Ski Club, Ilya Fridman, and any designated chaperone or club representative to seek and obtain necessary medical treatment for your child. This includes permission to transport your child to a hospital, clinic, or emergency care facility, and to authorize treatment by licensed medical personnel.
You agree to assume full financial responsibility for any medical treatment provided and acknowledge that the club does not carry individual health or accident insurance for participants.
You further agree to keep your contact information up to date and to remain reachable by phone throughout the duration of any trip. If your child is unable to continue participation due to illness, injury, or behavioral concerns, you agree to make arrangements to pick them up promptly, regardless of trip location.
Medical Conditions & Allergy Disclosure
Parents and guardians agree to inform MC Youth Ski Club of any allergies, medical conditions, or other health-related concerns that may affect their child’s participation in club activities. This includes but is not limited to conditions requiring medication, dietary restrictions, or the use of medical equipment (e.g., EpiPens or inhalers).
Failure to disclose relevant information may limit the club’s ability to respond appropriately in the event of an emergency.
Photo & Media Release
MC Youth Ski Club may take photographs and video recordings during trips, lessons, bus rides, or other club activities for the purposes of sharing with families, promoting the club, and documenting our programs. These images may appear on the club’s website, social media, newsletters, or printed materials.
By registering, you grant permission for your child to appear in such photos or videos taken during club events.
If you do not wish for your child to be photographed or included in media shared by the club, please notify us in writing at info@mcski.club before the start of the season. We will make every effort to honor all requests.
